Since arriving in Cape Town, I had been searching for an expansive view of the famous Table Mountain. The V&A Waterfront area does provide good views of the mountain, but I was searching for a wider view.
Bloubergstrand beach is a very windy beach, perfect for kitesurfing and windsurfing, and what a place to do so, whilst enjoying those captivating views.
Located 18km and around a 20 minute drive from Cape Town the Bloubergstrand meaning “Blue Mountain” is actually divided into two beaches, Big Bay and Little Bay (how cute).
I just can’t choose so I am sharing all of the good ones!

As you head back to the city from Bloubergstrand beach you may notice a little bridge to your right, well I was intrigued so took a right turn and ended up at Woodbridge Island. You won’t need to spend lots of time there but there was a cute little beach with a closer view of Table Mountain.
